Parents are Partners

We aim to work as team and in complete partnership with staff, children and their parents. We place the highest importance on building and maintaining honest and open relationships, with parents and their children.

This is achieved through regular communication in a variety of ways. We encourage use of the welcome board and notices area at the entrance to the pre-school. Each child also has a communication diary that we check daily.

We supply a weekly review in the communication diaries on a Friday to provide information in relation to our weekly themes and activities. The information in the weekly review is valuable in helping parents to extend the learning that takes place at the pre-school in the home environment.

Parents are encouraged to actively participate in their child’s experience in the pre-school. We also have meetings with parents when necessary.

Parents may drop their children directly into the pre-school classroom to help settle their child and this also helps us to get to know each other.
